Common Questions

Absolutely. Our prices are always negotiable and we try to give the best deal possible. If you are interested in one of our vehicles, please email or call us with your offer.
Yes we do. Your credit rating and the monthly payment you can afford will have a direct impact on what vehicle you can purchase. What you’re buying also has an effect on the terms of the loan. The price of the car, down payment or trade-in value will also have an impact on the interest rate and the length of the loan. Good credit or bad, we will do our best to get you a loan that works for you.
We accept cash, certified checks, and cashier’s checks drawn on U.S. banks in U.S. funds.
We are open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; and Sunday by appointment. Please give us a call or email in advance if you are interested in test-driving a vehicle on the weekend or after hours and we will be more than happy to show it to you.
It depends on the vehicle’s year, make and model, mileage, and overall condition. If you are interested in one of our vehicles for sale and would like to make a trade, please give us a call or stop by our office. We will be more than happy to assess your vehicle and let you know if it is eligible for a trade.
Yes we do. If you are trying to sell your car, or know of someone selling a car, let us help. We will have you fill out a consignment agreement that outlines exactly what we agree to sell your car for and exactly what our commission will be. The vehicle will be left with us, along with the title and proof of insurance. Once the consignment agreement is finalized, we will safety-inspect the vehicle, smog-check it, and perform any service work that is required. We will detail the vehicle, take photographs, and advertise it on sites including our own, Autotrader, Easy Ad/Photo Ad, Craigslist, and many more for maximum exposure.
We get new inventory almost every week. Our inventory varies weekly and is dependent upon what vehicles are available to us. Any time we get a new vehicle in inventory we will update our website with a COMING SOON photo and brief description of the vehicle.
All goods and services that exchange hands are priced-based on supply and demand. We look at what is sold in our market and what the average transaction price is. We also utilize independent third-party consumer websites and make sure that our prices are at or below the market. If a vehicle is extremely hard to come by, it might yield a slightly higher margin. Vice versa, if there is an excess number of a particular model in stock or something has been in inventory for a long time, the margin is compressed, sometimes significantly.
We inspect each vehicle thoroughly and correct any mechanical issues that are found during inspection – Everything from replacing fluids, brakes, shocks, timing belts, water pumps, head gaskets, transmissions, tires, etc. We make sure that each vehicle is up to date on service specifications according to the mileage. All mechanical work is performed in-house at our facility. All vehicles are detailed at our shop with the highest-quality cleaners, waxes, and polishes to make each car look new.

The other fees include taxes, licensing, smog certification and documentation fees. If you live in California, taxes are based on what city you live in. For instance, the San Luis Obispo tax rate is 8 percent, while in nearby Atascadero it’s 7.5 percent. We take care of all DMV paperwork so you don’t have to worry about it! We will mail your current registration, and your new title will be received from DMV in two to six weeks.
All our vehicles have a clean-title guarantee. All vehicles come with a clean Carfax or AutoCheck history report to ensure that you are buying a vehicle that has accurate mileage and has not been branded as salvaged or flood-damaged. We double- and triple-check each vehicle to make sure it is compliant with Division 12 safety standards. Extended vehicle plans for your protection are available at an additional cost.
Perhaps you could find a lower selling price, but it’s important not to be swayed by dealerships that focus on the “sale” price. Most negotiating dealerships will gladly give up the few hundred dollars they lose on the price of the car, because they make it up on things like the trade-in, aftermarket products and accessories, financing and finance products. Consumers tend to relax during the remainder of the purchase transaction once they’ve negotiated the selling price. As a result, they end up paying substantially more for warranties, insurance, interest rates, etc. than the few hundred dollars they saved on the price in the first place. It is for this reason that our customers receive our lowest price for every product or service we provide. If you were to compare the actual total transaction price and payments side by side, chances are we would be much lower.
We respect where you are coming from and appreciate that you want to leave here feeling comfortable about your vehicle and what it cost you. Please understand that it is the unpleasant feeling of not knowing whether or not you got the lowest price that creates the need to ask for more of a discount. It is imperative that you realize that we passionately believe everyone deserves to get a great car at a great price while receiving world-class service. Whether you are the governor of California or an 18-year-old serving in the Coast Guard purchasing your first car, everyone pays the exact same price… And isn’t that the way it should be?
Once again it is our hope that our customers understand why we do what we do, more so than just what we do. We are about creating a car-shopping experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations. We feel that any person should be able to go out and buy a vehicle, be treated with respect, and pay an extremely fair price, regardless of their negotiating skills. If we deviated from this philosophy even in the slightest, who we are as a company and what we say would not mean anything.
